Melemchi Villagers: A Vision of Ecstasy 21St May 2015

The massive earthquake that occurred for three time has destroyed many houses and has killed over 9000 people. It may take some time to fix the damaged houses but currently the smile of the victims are returning. In, the affected region of Nepal victims fear were faded and smile were seen in their faces. NGO “Flame of Hope Nepal” has distributed relief materials and needs to support the earthquake victims at Melemchi, Sindhuplachowk on Wednesday. The team member of the organization reached Sindhupalchowk at evening and the victims which included widow man/woman, woman, man and children who were desperately waiting for them to bring immediate needs. The village people were very grateful to the entire team members. They local people informed that it will take them 2 hours walk to reach their village from Melemchi.  The villagers carried one sack of rice, one shelter tarpaulin and torch light to walk that 2 hours distance. NGO “Flame of Hope Nepal” has distributed immediate needs for 305 families in Melamchi Municipality. Previously, NGO “Flame of Hope Nepal” had distributed relief materials and needs in Lalitpur, Kavreplanachowk, Dhahding, Lamjung and Sindhuplachowk district.

 

According to Actor/Director Akash Adhikari, till now his team have provided 21 thousand 2 hundred KGs of rice, 500 KGs lentil, 800 sheets of shelter tarpaulin, 100 and 50 meters of mattress, 1 and 50 packets of gundruk and 15 sack of iodine salt. He also informed that with construction of destroyed houses government should also re-build cracked houses. Organization like Eco Himal, Global Reach International (INC), Eyebrow Plus (INC), Helping Hand Parasi has been continuously supporting NGO “Flame of Hope Nepal” in the distribution of immediate needs to support the earthquake victims.
