Khokana, a village dating back hundreds of years was badly devastated on the outskirts of Kathmandu on April 29, 2015, following a 7.8 magnitude earthquake which struck the Himalayan nation on April 25. Rescuers are facing a race against time to find survivors of a mammoth earthquake that killed more than 5,000 people when it through Nepal five days ago. However, Adhikari's Flame of Hope Nepal and I 2 we teams together have donated the relief items to the Khokana victims. However, two teams together have donated the relief items to the Khokana victims. Director and Actor Akash Adhikari and director Sabir Shrestha, upcoming actor Aryan Adhikari and the co-ordinator of “I to We” Sujan Gurung and other 30 medical staffs provided a helping hand in their own ways.

The earthquake shook the belief in life and city injuring over 50 people in that village. The team distributed relief items (food, medicine, water, clothes and other necessary items). However, devastating it has been for everyone it has reinforced the faith in our fellow beings. According to the local person of Khokana Bishnu Bhakta Maharajan has informed that the Khokhana village has already lost 9 people with 50 people injured. After the quake, every individual were living under the shelter tarpaulin.

According to Maharjan, among 800 house in the village 300 house had been devastated by the quake.Unfortunately, it has been informed that 100 of shelter tarpaulin has been set up in the village yet, the government has not provided any funds to those victims in Khokana.

The government has not delivered us any services, till today our entire village have only received two packets of noodles and 1K.G. of rice which is equal to an individual diet”, said Maharjan. On the night of the earthquake, the whole locality survived on boiled potatoes.
